Editorial design for the project Die Kurt F. Gödel Bibliothek, by the artist Emilio Chapela. This is a book which is a compilation of 4 years of the Mexican artist’s work, in which he questions the existence, duration, necessity and reality of books. The installation is made up of more than 600 “books,” which have been produced in MDF and only have the covers and spines printed. In this sense the artist has a collection of books, which are not books as such, but belong in a real library. The editorial design is based on the text boxes of antique books, and we have given priority to images by bleeding them and moving them away from the center, so that the images don’t get cut off.
